Cezara Hertanu

The Brief

A portfolio built around the dancer.

Cezara Hertanu is a multidisciplinary artist with a particular focus on dance. As she prepared to seek new dance partners and pursue further competition opportunities, she needed a strong portfolio that could communicate her versatility, technical ability and identity as a performer.

There were two separate shoots, one photo and one video, and I was on set for both.

The Work

Movement first, then everything around it.

01

Lighting, movement and direction

My part was the shoots themselves: on set, capturing a wide range of movements, expressions and styles. The images were made for social media, professional portfolios and outreach to potential dance partners.

Through considered lighting, movement and visual direction, the images show her technical range and the personality, confidence and artistry behind it.

From open air to low light

The set moves from daylight and open sky to low-key, half-lit studio portraits, so the portfolio shows how she reads in very different light.

Golden hour, and the moments between

Warm evening light against stone and greenery, and the candid moments between setups.

The Outcome

A portfolio built to be used.

Together, the photography gave Cezara a cohesive and versatile portfolio designed to support her next steps as a dancer and multidisciplinary artist.

Testimonial

He is genuinely a jack of many trades, combining technical knowledge, creativity, adaptability and an understanding of production that is difficult to find in one person.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Ragesh Changam since 2023 across a wide range of projects and in several different capacities—from supporting productions as a camera assistant, gaffer and grip, through to providing full web design and development services for Spiro Creatives and our clients.

I highly recommend Ragesh not simply as a web designer or developer, but as a creative partner. He is genuinely a jack of many trades, combining technical knowledge, creativity, adaptability and an understanding of production that is difficult to find in one person. He has been a great asset to Spiro Creatives, and I believe he would bring significant value to any business or creative team he works with.
